Sundown Race Team is committed to protecting the privacy of its racers and their families.

This Data Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and share personal information, and the steps we take to protect your data.

We collect the following types of information from participants and their parents or guardians:

• Racer Information: Racer names, birth dates, and performance data.

• Parent/Guardian Contact Information: Names, address, email addresses, and phone numbers.

• Emergency Contact Information: Names, email addresses, and phone numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Racer Information: Racer data, is shared with our league organizing body, Wijara.org, to manage start lists, race results, league rankings, and team participation.

• Club Communications: Parent/guardian email addresses and phone numbers are used to share updates about race events, team meetings, and other club-related activities.

3. Data Sharing

• With the League (Wijara.org): Racer data is shared with Wijara.org for race and league management purposes.

• No Sales of Data: We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

4. Consent

By registering a child with the Sundown Race Team, parents or guardians consent to:

• The sharing of racer data with Wijara.org.

• The use of their contact information for communications related to club activities, events, or status updates.

5. Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal information and protect it from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

6. Retention of Information

We retain racer and parent/guardian information for one full year, from ski season to ski season, in order to facilitate racer registration. Afterward, personal information is securely deleted or anonymized unless legally required to retain it.

7. Your Rights

Parents and guardians have the right to:

• Access and update their personal information via the Team Tracker or Sundownraceteam.org.

• Request the deletion of their or their child’s personal data.

• You may withdraw consent for the use of contact information at any time.
