About Sundown Race Team

The site is a new resource dedicated to improving the communication and ski racing knowledge among the SRT community.  

The site contains critical information on the SRT Team, including:

• Updates on Practices & Races
• How to resources on ski racing
• A forum to collaborate with other members
• Sundown Race Team is a non-profit club linked to Sundown Mtn Ski Resort, in Dubuque, Iowa. The team primarily trains and hosts races on Andrew's and the Snow Devil trail, to the left side of Sundown's terrain park.

Competition Opportunities

Wijara consists of eight other teams besides SRT, including: Chestnut Mountain, Tyrol Basin, Cascade Mountain, Snowstar, Hidden Valley, Blackhawk, Four Lakes, & Wilmot.  Below you can learn more about SRT & WIJARA. (Don't forget to contact us with questions.)

Four Weekends of Racing

Each season consists of four weekend events; two in January and two weekends in February. Sundown, Chestnut, Cascade, and Tyrol Basin each are host hills. Each weekend, teams compete in one day of Giant Slalom (GS) on Saturday's and one day of Slalom (SL) on Sundays.
